The UNT Center for Sport Psychology and Athlete Mental Health was started in 1998 and over the last decade has become an internationally-recognized leader in the field of sport psychology.

Our sport psychology consultants and licensed sport psychologists work closely with each athlete, team, coach/leader, or organization to design individualized programs to address their specific needs. Because performances do not occur in a vacuum, we take a holistic approach and consider other life factors whenever we develop a sport psychology intervention.

The UNT Center for Sport Psychology and Athlete Mental Health is comprised of faculty from the Departments of Kinesiology, Health Promotion, and Recreation and the Department of Psychology.

The UNT Center for Sport Psychology and Athlete Mental Health consultants are doctoral and master's students from the Departments of Psychology and KHPR, respectively, who are pursuing their specializations in sport psychology. The consultants provide services to individual athletes, coaches, and sport teams within the UNT Athletic Department and to members of the DFW sport community.

Located approximately 40 miles north of Dallas and Ft. Worth, the UNT campus is easily accessible from Interstate 35.
UNT's Center for Sport Psychology and Athlete Mental Health is located on the second floor of Terrill Hall, which is also the same building in which UNT's Psychology Clinic is housed.
