Center Doctoral Student Megan Drew Selected for 2021 APA Division 47 Thesis Award

It is with great excitement that we share that Megan Drew's thesis project was selected by the Society for Sport, Exercise & Performance Psychology, APA Division 47, Cornerstone Committee for the 2021 Thesis Award! This award recognizes "outstanding student research that has the greatest potential for making a significant contribution to the theoretical and applied knowledge base in sport, exercise and performance psychology." Megan's study, The Mental Health Screening of Student Athletes by NCAA Athletic Departments, explored NCAA athletic departments' mental health screening practices, assessing such issues as the psychological concerns covered during screenings, personnel who administer and review screeners, and resources available for athletes identified as "at risk." This study has recently been submitted for publication and is under review.
