CENTER STAFF PROVIDE MENTAL SKILLS TRAINING TO ATHLETES AT MICHAEL JOHNSON PERFORMANCE CENTER

The Center’s staff is working with MJP to provide mental skills training to the athletes who are preparing for the 2012 NFL combine that will take place in Indianapolis, at Lucas Oil Stadium, February 22-28.  Combine training is an extensive six-week regimen in which the athletes prepare themselves to excel in all aspects of the combine, including the 40-yard run, the bench press, the Wonderlic, interviews with teams, and their physical examinations.  Athletes in training for the combine work with experts in the areas of nutrition, vision, exercise physiology, physical training, and sport psychology, to help them hone their skills and be at their physical and mental best.
