CENTER FACULTY TO PRESENT RESEARCH FINDINGS AT ASSOCIATION OF APPLIED SPORT PSYCHOLOGY (AASP) ANNUAL CONFERENCE

Drs. Trent A. Petrie and Christy Greenleaf will be attending and presenting their research at the 25th annual AASP Conference being held September 20-24 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Dr. Greenleaf serves on the AASP executive committee and will be on hand as one of the organizers of the conference. She completes her tenure on the board this year. Dr. Petrie will present research findings from three different studies that examined the influences of the motivational climate, as created by peers, parents, and coaches, on the psychological well-being of adolescent athletes. These studies represent the doctoral dissertations of Drs. Erica Force and Dustin Johnson, as well as Matt Atkins. Dr. Petrie and Center consultant, Nick Beck, also will present their findings regarding mental toughness among male and female collegiate athletes.
